A Busy Little Saturday
Where to begin...it's been a pretty crazy weekend. On Friday afternoon, I finally went live with the new website for the Delt house. I don't think I'm going to have any large companies knocking down my door, but it's not bad for a rookie.
Saturday was a non-stop kind of day. I started out the day with a venture to the moutains for some outdoor fun. I decided I was going to hike Mt. Falcon in hopes of some good views and exercise. Although the fog put a kink in my plans to see the sights, the muddy trail was more than enough to keep my interest. It was a cold, cloudy day, so most of the other outdoor enthusiasts chose not to brave the elements. Nevertheless, the snow-topped trees and remains of the summer White House made a seemingly empty trail come alive. There is nothing like exploring new places and the feeling of accomplishment when you finally reach your destination.
Although the long day of hiking would normally have been enough to drain my energy and desire to do much else, the evening brought with it a trip to the comedy club in LoDo. Aries Spears, a regular on MAD TV, was the headliner. It wasn't appropriate for all audiences, but he made me laugh so hard that my side started to hurt. He is definitely worth the cover price if ever given the opportunity to see live :: aa

The ruins from Walker's house on the top of Mt. Falcon are pretty fascinating. That guy was definitely a dreamer. Kel and I enjoyed that same great weather when we drove back on Sat. evening. Vail pass was a bitch let me tell yah. They closed it after we got through. 90 miles of 50 yard visibility, slushy roads, and the so-timid-it's-dangerous driver.
