TGI...Thursday?

Had Officials' Class #2 last night. I think this is going to be better than I gave it credit for. At first I was worried about actually getting games but after talking to one of the veterans last night, there is apparently a big shortage on refs. I'll have to do JV games and below for the first year and possibly two, but I could do three, four, five games a week if I wanted. However, for some reason I don't think Laura would approve and if she's not happy, I'm not happy :)

So, on a different note, I posted on this when I first got here but hadn't really paid much attention to it since then. Anyways, I counted four times today where I held a door for somebody not once, but TWICE (going through double doors...) and through NEITHER door did they say thank you. I can understand if they say it after the first door and then not again, but come on! Again, I'm probably just expecting too much, but I really think from now on if they don't say anything after the first door that I'm going to not only NOT hold the second door but then push it back their direction. I'll teach them some manners, one way or another!

I saw a segment on the news this morning about blogging (seriously). It's estimated that nearly 8 million people regularly write to a blog and over 32 million read them on a regular basis. What I'm wondering is if 32 million people are out there reading these things, why do I only get about 6 regular visitors (one of which is probably my mom - love you mom :) )? Oh well, just thought it was interesting.

I'm off to watch the end of the NBA finals...is it football season yet?
