Maple Leaf-less
For the first time in who-knows-how-many years, I missed Maple Leaf. For those who are unfamiliar with it, every third weekend in October, there is a 2 day "festival" where people from all over (literally) come for a parade, booths, etc. When I say they come from miles around, I mean it. The population of Baldwin (probably around 5,000) will easily triple for those two days, if not worse. Did anyone go this year? How was it? More importantly, can you believe that Baldwin has a website and that the Maple Leaf website has NO pictures - seeing all the trees is the best part of the whole weekend!!

Hey bro- Maple Leaf was ok, WAY too crowded but still pretty good. The trees hadn't all changed so it was as pretty as usual. Luckily the parade was shorter than it has been in years past it was only an hour as opposed to two like last year. Hope you're doing well, talk to you soon!

For the first time in years I made it back to btown for Maple Leaf. You know I hate that shit. Your sister is right that the trees had not changed and the parade was shorter than usual-I don't even think the football team was in it!
Oh, and 70 hour weeks may suck but they are short for me. I put in 82 a couple weeks ago followed but 78, 75, and this week may be close to 80 as well. So basically I feel your pain. At least you get to come home to the fiance when you are done. It's just me and Cabbage here in the Lou, trying not to get shot. Hope you are doing well, haven't talked to you in forever (maybe that's cause we are both working all the time)!
